How to find expired pr6 domains
In this article I will guide you through the process of finding your own pr6 domains. First off its quite rare to find a pr6 domain which has expired and even rarer for it to be you that actually gets to register it. Despite that you can quite easily get your hands on a pr4 domain. That gives you many advantages as that means the domain will still have backlinks and possibly some traffic. For those of you who dont know what pr (page rank) then please visit this article.
Now to find the domain you first have to find a list of expiring domains for that day (otherwise people will already have registered them). So its the 25th of July when I write this article so I would go to the following site and find the list for the 25th of July: Link to expiring domains. Although I say expiring I actually mean pending deletion but it means more or less the same thing as what you probably think expired means. So when you find the list for the day which it is you will find a huge list of domains in a text file.
So how do I find the high pr ones? Now this is the more irritating part. In order to find the domains with pr you will have manually input them into a pr checker and find the ones with pr that way. The best way I have found so far is to use a pr checker which allows up to 100 urls to check at a time. Its not the most ideal but it does the job. The link to that tool can be found at SEO Chat. To use the tool simple copy roughly 100 domains from the list and paste them into the tool and click “look up page rank”. UPDATE: Thanks to Ryan who gave this link for bulk pr checking: http://pr.vhx.cc
If anyone knows of a quicker method please leave a comment.

Awesome, awesome tool!
You’ve renewed my interest in domain hunting!!
Even better news - I know of a site that can bulk check possibly thousands at a time…(I’m not sure of what the max is, but I do several hundred at a time)
Found it on the Digital Point forums…it works great!
Also, I’ve found my first PR5
Me happy!so when they say that they are expiring july 25th… when are they available to register?
the next day? same day? midnight? etc

I think they expire on that day. Usually later on though. An easy way to check is to check the domains on the previous night to see if they are available.
is there a thing to check a list of domains at a time for availibility?

They should be available on that day. To check just go to namecheap.com or godaddy.com and search for them.
Hmmm… this sounds like a good idea. I’ll give it a try and hope to find a high ranking domain!
will these domains stay high ranking once they expire though? It seems like they would drop in rank once the site changes.
Awesome, thanks. This is nice to know. Like Ohmer though, I wonder how long the ranking lasts, and how can you maintain it at this high PR?
One thing Google have said is “A significant change over time in the set of topics associated with a document may indicate that the document has changed owners and previous document indicators, such as score, anchor text, etc., are no longer reliable.” There is likely to be a major change of topics when the site changes hands. However if there are still lots of links to the site then it still should be of some value.
Man i came here again through this keyword “find expired pr domains”!!!
Great article and good work!

Thank you I will add that site to the article.
